Hello all!

The docs portal https://docs.logpoint.com/docs/logpoint-agent/en/latest/Installing%20the%20Application.html mentions that we use TCP for communication between LPAgent and the Logpoint server. What can we do in case of UDP instead?

The LogPoint agent is a wrapper for NXlog - it comes with centralised management in LogPoint which is nice, but you can also deploy NXlog directly on a machine, and you could even copy the LogPoint agent configuration file and use it in NXlog. You can then make changes to its configuration - that can be useful if you need to do something like switch the communication to UDP. There are also some other options available that you could use, for example you can turn NXlog into a Syslog forwarder etc. LogPoint offers a special version of NXlog for download - it contains more modules than the free Community edition on their website, but doesn’t contain all the modules from their paid-for version.
